Pivot washers CNC machined and hand finished from solid phosphor bronze. These are intended to replace cage bearings of the same same. Please check the Skiff Bearing Compatibility Chart to check what size bearings, and therefore what size washers you would need for your knife.

Perfect fit on the Kizer Klipper

Action is silky smooth. Primary reason for purchase was to remove the potential for grit from the action. The switch to washers had not come at a cost.

Skiffs THICK washers

As much as ceramic bearings are the way of the future - thick washers have a couple of advantages of increasing lateral blade strength and are less likely to gunk up if you use your folder in a tasks where crud can get into the pivot. Using washers can also give an old school hydraulic feel to a blades action. Skiffs washers are also a little cheaper than their ceramic offerings.

Kizer Drop Bear on washers?

A straight swap from bearings and the Kizer Drop Bear feels like a whole new knife. Washers were finished well with no burrs and only needed a light polish to bring out a shine before fitting. Will definitely be buying more for others in my collection to see how they feel.
