Speaking from a fit and finish perspective.There is no difference between roast craft blade knives, in this case the Stinking Creek sow belly & A Jack Wolf knife. I'm not saying that Jack Wolf.Knives don't use more premium materials.But strictly from a fit and finish standpoint , there is no difference, Steel snobs would disagree with me.
But there is nothing wrong with D2 steel, It might not be as strong or have the edge retention of S90V, Magnacut or Bholer.
M390 but at this price point and with that fit & finish, there aint nothing wrong with D2 steel, I love the stinking creek sow belly & Andy from RoseCraft blades is absolutely killing it, There is simply no one making traditional pocket knives in the market today, that can offer the same sort of fit and finish at this price point, with the same high quality D2 Blades, as Andy and Rose Craft Blades. Jack Wolf knives are amazing blades, I have a few, & Ben does a great job he truly does, and they are worth every penny for the materials Ben is using,
but no one comes close to RoseCraft
blades for this kind of fit and finish at this
price point. No one.!!!!!

The Stinking Creek Sowbelly is not a particularly large knife, having a blade a little under 3 inches in length. The clip point blade shape and the reasonably long and curved handle do however make it a very useful and ergonomic tool.
The long graceful swedge tapers down to a point that is fine enough for piercing, picking and other fine work but does not appear fragile. The D2 steel holds a good work edge for quite a while and touches up easily on a steel or similar sharpening tool. The handle differs from other curved knives in that it has a small but definite downward dip about two thirds along the handle spine. This feature make the knife sit very well in the hand and makes for strong and controlled cutting.
This knife punches far above its' weight, it is finished beautifully and has a strong "pull" with a reassuring half stop which lends safety to opening and closing. The knife is beautiful, useful and makes a great companion in life's daily chores.
