It's a pocket knife that embodies the spirit of the first landing on the Moon. Take charge. Stick the landing. Walk on the Moon. The Lander is a pocket knife of possibility.

The scales on the Lander are Fast Swap Scales: they're easy to remove without disassembling the entire knife. Simply unscrew four screws, and you're freeee! If you're unfamiliar with pocket knife disassembly, typically removing the scales can be an ordeal: the entire knife falls apart in your hands, and you've got to retune everything to align all the parts. Not hard, but not fast or convenient either.

By making the scales in this Fast Swap fashion, it opens up a world of customization. Plus, we've made the scales Open Source via Creative Commons License Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)-- users can distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the scales in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to Knafs. We encourage you to disassemble the knife, tear it down, and put it back together-- no warranty voided for disassembly. Knafs are also in the process of building out an easy Parts Program for the knife so you can replace screws, pocket clips, and scales. We want you to own your knife and enjoy it for years to come.

Excellent

This little knife is an excellent size, and you can't go past D2 for holding a good sharp edge at this price point. Typical great QSP OEM build quality too. Satisfying thwack when it's flicked open. Definitely recommend if small knives that take up minimal pocket space are your thing.

Like a smaller RAT II D2

Good pivot and centring. Pocket clip was good. Changed the scales.
Good EDC knife, blade is slightly shorter, but the R2D2's handle is much longer with the lanyard hole.
Found out one of the screws was slightly threaded, had to put that screw only went in the one hole. 9/10

A Blank Canvas

The Lander is an awesome knife for the community as you can customise it with hundreds of scale options, or even 3D print your own. Aside from this, it has a perfect blade shape for me, however for the price is does feel a little cheap, and I do wish the handle was a bit bigger.

One of the best

Amazing little knife. Smooth action with good centring. Very nice blade design. Compact, simple and gets the job done. The quick swap scales are awesome. Was able to purchase my preferred blade style (plain stonewash) and have the scales swapped out with black g10.

The Lander is awesome

This simple and quaint knife has perfect blade positioning and is so smooth in it's deployment I almost though it was assisted. Ben has knocked it out of the park with this one, and looking forward to playing with some different scales in the near future. 10/10

Knafs

Knafs is the brainchild of Ben Peterson better known to the EDC community as Ben Banters. Together with his partner Athena, they launched their side hustle in 2018 from their garage with a knife poster as their first product. Fast forward to now and Knafs is rocking it as a full fledged operation with a bustling warehouse, 8 employees and over 150 products. Knafs captures the fun spirit of the EDC community and they're only just getting started!
