Description

Yes, it's not a myth or some Aussie Folklore. We have verified that FatCarbon Drop Bears are real and they have finally landed down under!

  • Fat Carbon Scales
  • Premium blade steel - S35VN, Elmax or 20CV
  • D-Shape Pivot
  • DED System
  • Gemini Spring System (tuneable lock tension) - see the original Drop Bear page for more information)
  • Perfect size and ergos
  • Versatile blade shape
  • reliable lock system

What does that all mean? Well, you get an Axis lock knife which can be easily disassembled to tune the springs to the exact tension you prefer. Less tension for the fidgeters and a tighter tune for those who want to use this as a daily tool.

As Aussies, we know that a knife has big boots to fill being named after an Australian icon! And this knife does not fall short. After handling a Drop Bear at Adventure Carry, we highly rate it and we know that this will be one popular knife that you will all love. Also, this knife will make for a great conversation starter at any camp site.

Another dropbear

I bought a ultem version of kizer dropbear from adventure carry a few months ago. And I absolutely love it because it's so easy to operate. Now I have bought another dropbear in fatcarbon version and 20cv steel. A great upgrade and adventure carry has done it again with great product and excellent customer service.

I don’t have anything to pick on! From the customer service ( Mitch ) to the updates nearly every other day. I originally went on Kizers Website and they had some but not with what I was exactly looking for, but were still decent knives. Then I noticed I follow Adventure Carry and they had what I wanted. It’s all I’ve heard and researched that brought me to this 4th gen I believe with fast carbon fiber and 3 blade steels to pick from. S35vn, elmax, and cpm 20cv. <—. Thats what I went with since I have it on other knives and it’s tough stuff. The Mechanical functions of the knife work flawlessly and the handle is a great fit for my hands. The pocket clip has a unique shape that keeps the knife in your pocket. Axis lock is solid!
I can snap the blade out quick and close it just as quick. Bites into wood very nicely. The blade shape is perfect to work with and has nice gimping. Black washed blade. The scales reflect in the light and are contoured to be comfortable!

Awesome Elmax Drop Bear

This knife is an absolute cracker. Feels great in the hand, lock-up is tight and action is smooth as silk. The Elmax blade is sharp as straight out of the box. I have no complaints about performance and the quality of the build. However, if there was anything that let this knife down it would have to be the disappointing Arctic Storm Fat Carbon scales. I guess I was expecting them to look just like the pictures advertised because there was no information suggesting there will be large variations in the pattern. Mitch did a great job of getting me this knife on the last day of postage before Christmas. Arrived in good nik without any damage to the box.

Exceptional knife

I bought the Elmax steel version, more because I haven't had a knife in this steel before. It is the sharpest knife I've bought and has retained the edge since I've had it. The action with the clutch lock is amazingly good, very easy to open and close, very smooth action. Great looking knife with an excellent feel in the hand. I don't use it as an EDC mainly because I prefer slimmer blades for my work (just bought the Kizer original 20 CV in fat carbon - not as sharp out of the box as the Drop Bear) but if I need a really sharp knife for more robust jobs this is perfect. I've cut shade cloth, cardboard, irrigation pipe, plant stems etc with no problems.
