The Civivi Kukei, designed by Tashi Bharucha, takes inspiration from one of Japan’s most iconic everyday tools and reinterprets it through a modern EDC lens. The 2” modified sheepsfoot blade nods to the reverse tanto style often seen on Higonokami blades, giving the Kukei a precise cutting edge that works well for everyday detail work. A front flipper handles deployment, while a liner lock keeps things secure once open. The rectangular-profile handle keeps the look clean and minimal, echoing the simplicity of the original Japanese design while remaining comfortable and practical in daily use. Small, lightweight, and full of character, the Kukei is a great example of tradition meeting modern carry.
