Ryson | Blackwashed titanium + M390

Simply amazing. I have a Chris Reeves Umnumzaan and it is a very nice knife. Samson Tran took some cues from this and made a slightly smaller but nonetheless beautiful piece. The washers don't allow for superfast deployment drop fold but it is buttery smooth an "old school".

There was no Bronze Titanium in stock but after going on the waitlist Mitch magically found one soon after. This is one that will belong in the top shelf.

Not easy to explain in words how this blade feels.
It’s STAUNCH BUT PRECISE. What came to mind straight away was (sounds cliche I know), but it literally “ Floats like a Butterfly and Stings like a Bee”!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the WE Ryson. The antique bronze scales with polished hardware, with that grey, polished harpoon blade is a gorgeous combo. Photos don't do it justice (except maybe Sam Tran's). And man, that action! Typical WE quality on the open, but the close on washers is something else entirely. It is manual. It's not a guillotine, nor is it shake shutty. But it is no less premium. I have other knives on washers, but this is superior. Best described as indulgent and buttery, it is a joy to slow roll this blade closed. It's a tactile sensation no other WE knife offers. The Ryson is spectacular. It can be a worker. It can be a collector's piece. Do yourself a favour and get one.

I work in a very dusty environment, I only use washer type knives for this reason. This knife is great for constant variable use. Bit hard to get opened for a while until everything polishes. I like it a lot.
