Description

Thank you so much for your resounding support! We've sold out of our Space Roos! Watch this space for future Adventure Carry exclusives. Read our short story of the Space Roo Yuti here.

Limited to just 100 pieces worldwide and only available through Adventure Carry, this is a truly one-off piece for the Aussie EDC community.

This one is very close to our hearts. When KNAFS approached us to collaborate on an Adventure Carry exclusive, we knew we had to pay ode to the infamous Gary the Space Kitty. Naturally, we thought why not make Gary a Space Roo instead? The colourway pays homage to our earthy Australiana tones and even features a KNAFS "Vegemite" space satellite along for the ride. The fantastic artwork was smashed out of the park by Sydney artist Aidan Howes

The Yuti itself is built for the tradies, the sparkies, the foremen, the labourers, the weekend warriors who probably should have pulled a permit for that much DIY. Slim and comfortable enough to carry every day, rugged and substantial enough to do some real hard yakka when the job calls for it. Standard two-notch utility blades slot in via a T8 and thumbscrew combo, so you can go tool-free for quick changes or crank it down tight when things get rough. Break a tip mid-job? Slot in a replacement and keep on truckin'.

  • Standard Utility Blade Compatible - Takes all standard two-notch utility blades, widely available at any hardware store
  • T8 / Thumbscrew Blade Holder - Tool-free swaps or tighten down with a T8 driver
  • Space Roo G10 Scales - UV-printed Adventure Carry exclusive artwork by Sydney artist Aidan Howes, chamfered edges and spine jimping for all-day comfort
  • Crossbar Lock - Secure, ambidextrous one-handed operation
  • Generous 104mm Handle with Finger Choil - Full four-finger grip that accommodates larger hands comfortably
  • Reversible Deep Carry Clip - two-way ambidextrous carry
  • Special Edition - 100 pieces, Adventure Carry exclusive

Absolutely fabulous

What an awesome knife!!!

I enjoy Knafs knives heaps. It's a brand that I follow and support because of their story and genuine approach to knives and collectors. Plus they make a great product.

This Yuti knife ticks all the boxes. The price point is good, the ability to have a stylish knife with changeable blades is a game changer for tradies. Say goodbye to the big old Stanley knife and hello to something smaller with a clutch lock and just as reliable.

I love the scales, there is a lot of g10 out there but Knafs have perfected the texture. It has a great feel in the hands not cheap like many knives with g10 scales.

The ability to change blades is not as good as it should be. The dial that fasteners the blade has some texture but it is too small so you just don't get enough torque to fasten the blade down properly. It does however have the ability to be tightened down with a tool which is the only way to go if you don't want it to come loose in your pocket, or during use.

I was lucky enough to snag one of these Space Roo. This is where Knafs differs from other knife companies. They made one specially for us Australians, and released it only in Australia. That's awesome, no other company would listen and collaborate with a supplier from another country to make something awesome like this.

Congratulations Adventure Carry on securing something so special.

Please do it again!

Utility knife hype 🙄

I’ve deliberately avoided the utility knife hype because they’ve always felt a bit gimmicky to me. But then the Space Roo Yuti came along and broke me 🙈

The artwork is epic and it’s a such fun little unit. Plus, I’m stoked to support a local Aussie artist, Adventure Carry and the Knafs crew 🙌

Good but...

I wanted to love this tool knife.
PROS: The action is smooth, the grip was decent, it has replaceable blades and the artwork was by an Aussie artist.
CONS: Its on the smaller side, but it is still comfy to hold. Once you flick it open a dozen or so times the blade comes loose. The grippy blade screw is nice, but you will need to tighten with the torx driver every blade change. Finally the deal breaker for me, the threaded screw protruding the other side of the blade (see pictures) gets caught on clothing when taking out of your pocket, not a huge issue i thought, but today it pulled open the blade in my work shorts pocket and cut open my finger when I was retrieving. This knife is banished to the drawer. I'll be sticking to my Milwaukee Fastback. Size comparison. Milwaukee Fastback, Caressolove OTF, Yeti, Para2.

Thank you for the detailed feedback, noted and I will pass onto Knafs. In regard to the blade coming loose, we suggest to tighten properly with a torx bit as you suggested, and reserve the thumb screw tightening for on the fly if the blade ever comes loose when you don;t have a torx bit around. Thank you for your support!

Piece of Australian history!

Not only is the Yuti operate like you would expect a Knafs nice to be like, smooth action lightweight great fidget factor, but I feel like I’ve bought a part of Australian history. Literally the best scales I own.

Great little knife

Great little knife, noticeably smaller than the Kizer utility knife, and the space roo design is lots of fun and printed vibrantly.

Super fidgety!

I mostly ordered this for the scales, and it holds up to the pictures! It uses Stanley blades, so you already pretty much know how it cuts, but what you don’t know is how fidgety it is! I’m opening and closing the thing all day at my desk.
