Description

The Big Poppa Beer Bomb is the oversized, heavier-hitting version of the cult-favourite NotoriousEDC original Beer Bomb, made for collectors who like a little more substance in their carry. Machined from solid Grade 5 titanium and 50% thicker than the original, it brings extra heft in hand while keeping the unmistakable Beer Bomb profile, including the all-important bottle opener. Chunky, collectible and ridiculously satisfying to carry, the Big Poppa is one of those EDC pieces that’s as much about personality as practicality.

  • Grade 5 Titanium - Solid titanium construction with a classic stonewashed finish.
  • 50% Thicker Than the Original - Beefed-up 9.5mm / 0.375" thickness for extra heft and presence.
  • Integrated Bottle Opener - The signature Beer Bomb party trick, ready when it's time to crack one open.
  • 59g Carry Weight - Substantial in hand without becoming excessive in the pocket.
  • Cult-Favourite EDC Design - Oversized take on one of NotoriousEDC's most recognisable and collectible pocket tools.

Beer Bomb EDC Tool Review: “Yeah

★★★★★ Beer Bomb EDC Tool Review: “Yeah, It’s a Bottle Opener That Looks Like a Shark. Moving On.”
Right. So this is a titanium thing shaped like a shark from an old plane painting. It opens beers, does a bit of screwdriver work, takes hex bits, pries stuff, and the fins are sharp enough to cut open boxes when the scissors have gone walkabout. In theory it’s a multitool. In practice it’s a small metal gadget that makes you feel mildly superior at a barbecue while everyone else is just using their keys or the edge of a table.
Pros:
It actually opens the bottles. Caps come off cleanly, no fuss. Which is the bare minimum, but somehow still feels like an achievement.
Feels solid in the hand. Grade 5 titanium, stonewashed finish — proper weight to it, the sort of thing that doesn’t feel like it’ll fall apart the first time you look at it sideways.
Good conversation piece. Someone will eventually ask what it is, you’ll explain, and they’ll either nod like they get it or give you the look that says “mate, it’s a bottle opener.”
If you want something that actually feels like a tool instead of a novelty. The Original version is for people who’ve fully given up on subtlety.
Handy for boxes. Those fins score tape and open parcels without you having to go hunting for a knife that should’ve been in the kitchen drawer.
Cons:
The hex bit hole is handy until you realise the bits are still sitting in a drawer at home where they always are.
Once you’ve got one, using a normal opener starts to feel a bit ordinary. Which is ridiculous, but here we are.
Sells out a fair bit, so half the experience is refreshing the site and telling yourself you’ll get it next drop.
You’ll catch yourself explaining the shark thing to people who just wanted a beer, and suddenly you’re that bloke.
It’s pointy enough in places that some people might get the wrong idea about what it’s for. Not saying anything, just… it’s got that look about it.
Final verdict:
Does the job. Looks a bit mad. Opens beers, deals with boxes, and happens to be the sort of thing you wouldn’t mind having in your hand if things got a bit ordinary. If you’re the sort of person who already owns too many pocket tools and doesn’t mind your bottle opener having a personality, it’s fine. Everyone else can keep using the one from the servo and not think about it.
It’s not life-changing. It’s just a well-made opener that happens to look like a shark. Some people will love that. Some people will think it’s unnecessary. Both are probably right. 🍺
Thanks Mitch, Adventure Carry Australia.
Absolutely love it!
