Description

The Area Eight from Kizer sits right in that sweet spot. Bigger than a compact EDC fixed blade, smaller than a full-blown survival tool, and sized perfectly for users who want capability without excess. Designed by Jonathan Styles, it pairs a 4.23” modified drop point with a confident, hand-filling G10 handle and integrated grip guard. Great light/medium allrounder

Bought this to have as an option against the Kizer Begleiter 3V. This is another good one to use as a do all lightweight, food prep, hiking, hunting, field knife. Comfy in hand, a decent weight, good with both the design and the AEBL steel to use as a food prep or smallish hunting knife, and the blade/handle design gives this pretty good use and knuckle clearance against a cutting board. It's a 3/4 tang. I'd love it more if it was a full tang with bolt on scales, but this hidden tang design is good. An XL version with say a 5inch long, slightly deeper blade (for even more clearance) would be awesome, as would a 3v version with burlap micarta, similar to the Begleiter. It would work well with other less "tactical' colours than the green/black as well, like a blue, orange, or natural micarta. The kydex sheath fits perfectly although a taco-style option would minimise the overall package a bit.
