From an Apartment to a Brand

Five years ago, Adventure Carry was nothing more than an idea and a messy bedroom full of boxes. We had no investors, no staff, and definitely no clue what we were getting ourselves into. What we did have was a shared love of knives, a Wi-Fi connection, and a stubborn belief that we could build something special for the Australian EDC community.

In October 2020, we hit “publish” on our little online store and told ourselves, “Let’s just see what happens.” What happened was chaos of the best kind. The dining table turned into a packing station, the living room became a stockroom, and weekends disappeared into rolls of AusPost parcel bags and printer paper.

Every order that came through felt like magic. It still does.

Growing Pains and Pinch-Me Moments

By 2022, it was clear that Adventure Carry had outgrown the bedroom. We finally took the leap into a real office and warehouse space, where Mitch now works full-time (and yes, he still packs every single one of your orders).

Last year, we made it all the way to Blade Show Texas to meet the legends behind some of our favourite brands: Knafs, Notorious EDC, Tactile Turn, Jack Wolf, Vero and Chaves. It was one of those trips that reminded us how far we’ve come and how much we still love this industry. Thanks to those connections, we were able to bring on Big Idea Design, which many of you have been loving, and finally secure the Beer Bombs from Notorious EDC! P.S. Something exciting from Chaves is coming!

Still Small, Still Grateful

Five years in, and it’s still just the two of us running the show. Every order you place, every tag on social media, every bit of feedback , it all keeps us going. Your support means we can continue to do what we love: bringing world-class EDC gear to Australia and sharing the passion that started it all.

We may not have the biggest warehouse or the flashiest setup, but we do have something that matters more: a community that believes in what we do.
