The Kingpin is a slipjoint that combines traditional pattern cues with modern design aesthetic and premium build quality. Tom (Notorious EDC) wanted to create a design that has all the things he personally looks for in a knife: cuts well, compact/pocket friendly, and looks beautiful. It's pretty clear he hit the mark!

Micarta patinas over time with the oils from your hand. You can 'reset' the patina by simply giving it a wipe with some rubbing alcohol. (Micarta may vary slightly in appearance.)

Ships with a leather slip and cleaning cloth.

Full Ti handle variant has interior weight reduction milling to bring the weight in line with the micarta variants.

Black PVD variant has been lightly stonewashed for a working finish

Best modern traditional?

Big fan of modern traditional knives. Not so much a fan of the satin blades most modern traditional slipjoints come with. Notorious EDC kingpin solves this dilemma. Full stonewash blade and covers, inspiration from a few timeless classics and some nice modern touches. Special mention also goes to the nice slip this comes with as well as the ability to put a lanyard on this. Walk and talk is amazing and fit and finish is up to Reates usual high standards.
